The inland day with an engine at the start of it. Forty minutes on a quad bike through the plantations, then the drive south to the hot spring waterfall — warm mineral water tumbling over smooth rock into the stream — and the Emerald Pool, a jungle spring pool the colour of its name. A Thai lunch is included; the national park entrance fees are paid directly at the gate.
